Marissa has always known she wanted to train animals. In order to pursue this dream she studied Zoology and Animal Behavior at the University of New Hampshire. She interned at Helping Hands during the summer of 2012 and fell in love with the monkeys, the staff, and the facility. Upon graduation Marissa had the opportunity to complete internships working with dolphins in Key Largo and the marine mammals at the New England Aquarium. Marissa kept in touch with Helping Hands and was excited to accept a training position with this unique organization in 2014. She loves going to work each day since working with monkeys is hardly predictable. In her spare time Marissa enjoys traveling, exploring Boston, and spending time with family and friends.
Our service monkeys are provided at no cost to our recipients.
