With www.monkeyhelpers.org (the "Site"), our goal is to provide you with general information about our services, tell you about current news and events taking place, help put potential donors in touch with our organization, and provide applicants for a monkey helper with important information.
Helping Hands values the individuals who visit our Site. We understand the importance of protecting any information you provide us, whether as a donor or a visitor, and are committed to preserving your privacy by safeguarding your personal information.
We make every effort to follow all applicable laws and regulations relating to visitor information and regularly review our collection, use and disclosure practices. With this privacy policy, you can learn what information we collect as well as how we collect it, what measures we take to safeguard its accuracy and security, and how we use the information. Information We Collect:
Generally, you can visit the Site without telling us who you are or disclosing any information about yourself. You decide when to share your personal information with us while on the Site. For example, if you make a donation, correspond with us by mail or email, reply to an invitation for an event or submit an application, you are sharing personal information about yourself with us. Your information is accessible only to our employees, volunteers and business partners who need to access it to respond to your inquiries or provide you with these services.
Information Collected from Donors.
When you decide to make a donation to Helping Hands, whether making the donation online or donating by mail or in person, Helping Hands will collect personal information from you to properly and efficiently process your donation. The personal information we collect may include your name, billing and shipping address, e-mail address, mobile or home phone number, gift amount, tribute or gift information/comments, and your donation preference.
If you chose to pay for your donation with a credit card, we or our business partner may collect your credit card or bank debit card information, including expiration date and security code. Your credit card information will only be used to process your donation. Your credit card security code will not be stored by Helping Hands or our business partner. It will be used only one time to validate your card for that particular donation.
If you chose to pay for your donation with a check, we may also collect the name of your banking institution. We will only use your banking information to process your donation. Your banking institutional name will not be stored by us or our business partner. It will be used only one time to process your check payment.
If you chose to make a donation with stock or mutual funds, we may collect information regarding the stock and mutual funds, including the name of the company or fund, its symbol, the number of shares, their estimated value, your broker, and other information in order to transfer the stock or mutual fund to Helping Hands. We will only use this information to process your donation. It may be stored by us or our business partner.
You do not have to provide any personal information to visit and enjoy www.monkeyhelpers.org. However, you will not be able to make donations to Helping Hands unless you provide the personal information described in this section to process your donation.
Information Collected from Visitors.
Helping Hands collects personal information from you when you decide to e-mail us. We may collect your name, e-mail address, and other information you chose to provide in your correspondence. We use this information to quickly and efficiently respond to your queries and to continue to communicate with you in the future.
Information We Do Not Collect:
Cookies Policy.
The Site does not use cookies to identify your web browser or record registration information, so you will need to re-enter your information each time you wish to make a donation.
Non-personal Information.
Our web server does not collect non-personal information (for example, IP addresses and referrers). An IP Address is a number given to a visitor by an in Internet Service Provider. Examples of information provided by an IP address include service provider, type of browser and type of system used. Since we do not collect this type of non-personal visitor information, we do not collect information regarding your number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc.
How We Secure Information We Collect:
The information that you provide to us is important to our work. We have taken several measures to protect the security of the information. At any time you may review and revise the information you have provided to us by contacting us as directed below.
We restrict access to information about you to those Helping Hand employees, volunteers and select business partners who need to see the information to respond to your inquiries or requests or process your donations. Those who misuse personal information are subject to disciplinary action.
We employ industry-standard security measures and technology when transferring and receiving data exchanged with our Site. We also have security measures in place at our physical facilities to protect against any loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we collect from the Site. Although we take the utmost precaution, we cannot fully guarantee the security of data transmitted over the Internet or any wireless network. When you transmit your information, you do so at your own risk.
What we Do with Information We Collect:
Helping Hands only uses your information internally and does not disclose your information to third parties except for limited purposes as described below.
If you provide us with your postal address or email address, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information about upcoming events, news, opportunities to donate, or other information related to Helping Hands. If you supply us with your telephone number, you may receive telephone contact with us related to Helping Hands. You may however, opt-out of any specific medium of correspondence or solicitation by informing us of your preference at the contact information provided below.
Limited Disclosure.
We may share your personal information with companies that are our business partners, who assist Helping Hands with processing donations, invitations or other mailings and events.
Helping Hands will send personally identifiable information about you to organizations other than our business partners only when:

- we respond to a request by a law enforcement or government agency, in connection with a stolen credit or bank card, identity theft, fraud or other criminal investigation, or otherwise, in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant laws

In the case of suspected credit or bank card or identify theft or similar criminal activity, we may share your personal information with law enforcement or a credit agency or other company that is assisting us.
Helping Hands does not otherwise distribute, sell, trade, rent, or disclose any of your personally identifiable information to third parties, except as provided above.

When you click on links and/or ad banners that take you to third party Web sites, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy policies. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, Helping Hands cannot be responsible for the actions of third parties or the content on their Web sites. Children's Privacy:
We at Helping Hands understand the important responsibility of protecting personal identifiable information obtained from any child who is twelve years old or younger. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Ace of 1998 (COPPA), it is our policy to refrain from knowingly collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under the age of thirteen.
As a result, if you are twelve years old or younger you may not submit any personal information to helping hands. By making an Online Donation or submitting an e-mail to Helping Hands, you represent you are at least eighteen years old.
Governing Law:
This Privacy Policy is intended be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S.A. Any action which you or any third party may bring in connection with this policy shall be brought only in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Consent and Changes to Policy:
By using our Site, you consent to Helping Hand's collection and use of this information as outlined in this policy. Helping Hands website is hosted in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States and make a donation or send a communication using our Site, you are transferring your personal information to the United States. By providing your personal information to Helping Hands, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and the use of your personal information by Helping Hands to process your donation under the terms of this Privacy Policy.
From time to time, Helping Hands may decide to change its Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to make changes in this policy at any time as needed. If we make any changes, we will post those changes on our Site so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we may disclose it. If you make a recurring donation to Helping Hands, your continued giving will signify your acceptance of these changes.
